As the UK government prepares a global AI Safety Summit and experts warn that AI could cause human extinction, governments around the world are asking: how do we mitigate the safety risks from rapidly advancing AI systems?

BASIS is hosting an 8-week reading group about AI governance to ensure the safe development and deployment of future AI systems. We will meet once a week for discussion (and free food!) for an hour, with two hours of reading outside of meetings.
